We’ve been travelling for a few months now and playing Scrabble and cards (yes, the real ones, not apps) means we need copious amounts of paper to keep score – until we discovered Scorer : The Score Keeper. This is a simple app that does one thing but does it well. It enables you to keep scores of as many players as you like in a simple, logical manner.
I like the way you can quickly add or subtract 1, 5 or 10 points (these can be changed from the default values as well) to or from any player’s score and that you can colour code them and enter their names. There is a two step process to zero scores as well so that you don’t accidentally erase them and so avoid the inevitable arguments!
Two more options let you force the screen to stay on which is handy if your device blanks the screen after a few minutes and move down to the next player after entering a players score.
So, put simply, Scorer is another small (it shows that you don’t many megs of code to achieve a good result does it?) and simple app that does what it is intended for well and best of all – no Ads. Got to love that.
Let us know what you think or if you have another favourite scoring app in the comments.
