Over 40 Magnifier & Flashlight

Over 40 Magnifier & Flashlight review

It happens to most of us eventually – trying to read the small print on jars is often the first sign our eyesight isn’t what it used to be in our thirties – and a simple app that magnifies text quickly and without fuss is something that I have been looking for lately. Over 40 may be just the thing I need on those occasions when a regular magnifying glass isn’t to hand (which is usually when one is needed of course).

Just download and install it and it immediately turns your camera on (of course you do need a rear facing camera for this to be useful unless you want to check the state of your nose hair maybe?) and slide the magnify control left or right to get the clearest picture of that small print or to look at something more closely. You can quickly turn your device’s flash on to get a clearer view in poor light too.

The freeze frame button is handy to capture the closeup image and you can also save this to your photo gallery too, which is a handy addition.

The app is free and does have ads but they aren’t too intrusive – just appearing below the viewing window – there is also a paid version which can be purchased within the app and is just a few dollars to remove the ads altogether.

If, like me, you struggle sometimes reading small print or just want to look at an ant in closeup – then Over 40 Magnifier and Flashlight may be just what you are looking for.
