The Aussie government has embraced mobile app technology and this latest app will be a very handy addition to senior’s Android devices. It enables Centrelink customers to access some of their account services using their mobile device.
If you receive anAge Pension you may be able to use Express Plus Seniors. You do have to be registered for Centrelink Online Services (which requires access level 3).
You can use your existing Centrelink Customer Access Number (CAN) and Centrelink Online Services password to set up your 4-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) for the first time.
Services available via Express Plus Seniors include : view and update your profile details, claim an Advance Payment, view your payment and transaction history, request a Centrelink statement, income statement and payment summary, view money you owe, store letters and documents in the Secure Vault, use a reporting timesheet to record daily earnings, report your income and more (see the full list of services on the Play Store and additional info on the Centrelink Express Plus support page.
One user comment mentioned that the print was hard to read on letters viewed using the app and that the font size could not be changed so it seems it would be better used on a tablet rather than a phone.
Families, Job Seekers & Students have their own versions too – check out the links to the left of the Play Store to check those out (recommend them to your kids & grandkids maybe!).
Give it a try and let us know what you think in the comments,
