Fit Brains Trainer

Fit Brains TrainerThey say that the brain is just like any muscle – it needs regular exercise to stay fit and healthy. Brain training games are very popular with older users but can be used by anyone to check and improve their mental agility.

Fit Brains Trainer is an app that records your training progress so you can see how you are improving every day.

From the app description : “based on the success of more than 180 million brain games across the Fit Brains network – brings you the easiest and most enjoyable way of keeping your brain sharp in just minutes a day. The Fit Brains Trainer is a scientifically-designed app that provides a collection of fun brain games, personalized training sessions, and visual tools to help you improve your brain’s performance. The Trainer utilizes an innovative adaptive learning system that automatically scales the level of each brain game to your appropriate level. The Fit Brains Trainer app is the highest rated brain trainer on the market today including Lumosity.”

The app was apparently developed by a top clinical neuropsychologist, so we should trust the methods used to improve our mental abilities.

After installing and using the app for a week I have to say I am impressed. I haven’t progressed to the point where I’d consider paying for the ‘pro’ version which provides features like keeping track of your progress on other devices and unlocking other exercises – but from the comments it seems most are happy with the features available in the free version. There is a good range of logic and speed exercises so I don’t find that I get bored doing the three suggested training games each day or session.

Give it a try and let us know what you think in the comments.
