The auction site eBay has become synonymous with buying and selling online and an app that makes it simpler to search for items and refine the search or list your own items for sale is pretty essential on mobile devices, especially phones. This app is an example of developers listening to users and creating a good solid app that does what it’s supposed to.
There’s always a few negative comments but I reckon 38,000 negatives compared to over half a million positive ones says it all. I use it on my phone and, now old and slow, tablet without problems.
I mainly use eBay to buy items, and once logged into my account, the My eBay area is available to view items on my watch list and it’s easy to set up notifications to remind me when an item I’m watching or bidding on is getting near to closing.
I actually find it easier to use than the website, the only feature that isn’t in the mobile app is that you can’t buy items from classified ads like cars and boats. Browsing around the ads is straightforward and being able to easily refine searches or filter them is great.
Some of the features from the app description are:
✓ Search, Bid, Buy or Make offers on unique items from around the world
✓ List your items for sale in minutes
✓ Use the barcode scanner to find items, compare prices or start a new listing
✓ Get customizable alerts about your eBay items and activity
✓ Track your packages
✓ Leave feedback
✓ Read and respond to eBay messages
✓ Save your favorite searches and sellers for quick access to the latest inventory
✓ Revise your listings and manage your eBay business on the go
If you are an avid eBayer (is that a word?) then this is a must have app I reckon. Give it a go and let us know what you think in the comments area – we’re always happy to get feedback.
