If there’s one thing that can put a strain on a relationship it is getting the caravan level in an RV park. While many parks these days have level sites there are many, especially free camps, that don’t. This app is designed to take the guess work out of the process – and maybe end the arguments!
After the relatively simple calibration process you simply place your phone or tablet in two places – the drawbar for the fore and aft level and inside the van on the floor for the right to left level. It tells you as you adjust the ramps or front wheel height the actual measurement to go and I especially like the colour coded numbers – ie: red (way out), amber (getting close) and green (you should be happy with that). Of course, your device needs to have a sensor included, but as the app is free you can just delete it if it turns out yours doesn’t have one.
You can actually choose exactly the location you prefer to place the phone on to check the levels – I changed mine to the front and rear floor of the van so my wife can tell me as I’m adjusting the van position from inside. This means that we are both responsible getting it right too which is a big plus!
If the bubble level method just isn’t doing it for you – and of course you can’t calibrate those to compensate if the floor or drawbar position where you have mounted one isn’t level can you? – then give this app a try. I’m betting it will become a keeper.
